The schedule to our Thailand journey.
Arranging our holiday ourselves, instead of buying a complete package atthe travel agent takes some time and effort but can be very beneficial to your wallet. Luckily my partner is really into the hotel picking and things so she actually enjoyed searching the internet for the best places to stay. I myself, as much as I love computers, internet and anything that comes with it, am not amused reading through hotel reviews one after the other. I do however enjoy writing about the actual stay itself. So here we are, just a few weeks remaining to the start of our Thailand adventure, it seemed all our hotel stays and transportations had been booked and confirmed. Now we obviously needed a plan to go by, a journey schedule, to assure ourselves we would actually meet all the departure times and were able to contact all hotels or otherwise, and so on. Going by a travel agent, these things usually seem to go by its self, actually doing it ourselves we needed to put some things on paper. We also made a copy to provide the family with so they had some clue to our whereabouts and could get a hold of us if need be.

Scooterday on Phuket island
Today it's the twelfth of May, approx. one after midnight. So I guess it's actually the thirteenth but who keeps track? We woke up a bit later today and managed to join for breakfast just before noon. This was going to be one of those days that things just took a little bit longer.
It seemed warmer then before extremely humid in the afternoon, you could tell that thunder and lightning were on it's way. This was going to be our scooter day, to see some more of Phuket island. We rented the scooter last night at the hotel. One day rent setting us back two hundred Bath, which is pretty much the standerd over here. Obviously we needed to sign some papers first, claiming to pay fifty thiusand Bath in case the scooter was stoolen or damaged beyond repair. We were already aware that in the whole of Thailand insurance was non-existing when it came to scooters, so the paper work was not much of a surprise. Having driven the scooter about two hours and not having seen much interesting, we returned to the hotel for a refreshing dive in the swimming pool. Later in the afternoon, another small scooter tour and finish at our fav. restaurant in kata. good eating for as little as fifty Bath per meal. fried rice with chicken. and for starters the shrimps inpepoer and garlic, delicious.fresh up at our room, return scooter and helmets. get ready for nightlife in Kata. nothing much to do, no dancing, only some girly bars, pool bars and verry little people. must be the slow season now.returned to hotel, just in time before the rainshowers and thunderstorm.
